Our Deadball Exhibits are an
exclusive production of Mike Wheat Cards. Each card is printed on
heavy card stock, measures 3-3/8" x 5-3/8", and is reminiscent of
the cards produced by the Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago during
the 1920s. The backs are creamy colored, and feature a postcard
motif.
Unlike many recent issues,
these replicate the style and quality of many of the sets produced
during the first two decades of the 20th Century, baseball's "deadball
era". We have taken care to avoid the glossy finishes which detract
from so many reprint sets and "nostalgic" issues. Instead, these
cards have a matte finish, much like many of the issues of the time.
Among the 128 subjects
included in the set are several Federal League players, executives,
managers, and umpires. Each of the series includes 16 cards. Series
1 includes all of the cards pictured below. Please note that the
online images cannot do justice to the quality of these cards. You
truly must see the actual card to fully appreciate it. Thus, we
offer a simple money-back guarantee if for any reason you should be
dissatisfied.
Please note that the "mwcards"
watermarks do not appear on the actual cards, but only appear here
to guard against digital piracy.
Shipping/handling is $2.50.
Pennsylvania residents must also pay 7% sales tax (Allegheny
County).
